  5. Installation
  6. ============

  8.     The "Install_XModule" icon requires the Commodore Installer
  9. utility located somewhere in the Workbench path (usually in "SYS:Utilities").
  10. If you haven't got the Installer, you can install XModule manually
  11. making a new drawer and dragging XModule icon and its
  12. documentation in it.

  15. Beta Version
  16. ============

  18. This package contains a *BETA* release of XModule.
  19. Before running it, you should be warned about a few things:
  20.  
  21. - Many gadgets and menu items are still no-ops, some operations
  22.   could guru your system or ruin your modules.
  23.  
  24. - The documentation is sometimes incorrect and some parts
  25.   have not been written yet.
  26.  
  27. - Please, do not spread modified versions of this beta.  When
  28.   XModule will be released in its fully working version, I'll
  29.   include the full source code and grant you permission to
  30.   modify and spread it.
  31.  
  32. - Please do not base your opinion of XModule on this beta release.
  33.   The final version will be fully operative and bug free (I hope).
  34.  
  35. - Do not report obvious bugs: I know that the Sample editor is
  36.   not working.  If, instead, you see a little, hard to discover, bug
  37.   such as a small memory loss or strange errors converting a
  38.   particular module, then do not esitate reporting it immediatly.
  39.   Failure to do this will probably result in the bug not fixed in
  40.   the next release of XModule.

  43. - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK: XModule could destroy one of your favourite
  44.   modules or even format your hard disk (just kidding :-), but I will
  45.   not refound you for any damage caused by the use of this beta.
